The Hindi edition of the new book ‘Fearless Governance’ was released which was written by former Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and published by Diamond Publishers.
Kiran Bedi is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service (IPS). She was instrumental in prison reforms in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
The book briefs offer a practical model of “accessible, accountable and people-centric governance, something which is being encouraged by the country’s present leadership. Many of the measures mentioned in this book were being practised by the newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
Kiran Bedi is a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, with a postdoctoral Nehru Fellowship. She is the first woman to join the officer ranks of the Indian Police Service. Later, she was the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
She is an author, an Asian Tennis Champion, recipient of the Ramon-Magsaysay Award, and President’s Police Medal for Gallantry.
Dr. Bedi's has a biopic titled “Yes Madam Sir” made by an Australian. She has founded two Foundations, Navjyoti and India Vision Foundation.
