A book titled ‘8 years of Administrative and Pension reforms’ was released by Dr.Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The e-Version of the book was also released during the occasion.
The book briefs eight years of administrative and pension reforms introduced under Prime Minister Narendra Modi that are aimed at social transformation.
Since 2014, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare introduced a number of revolutionary reforms. The two pillars of the introduced Governance and Pension Reforms in the eight years are the large-scale use of technology and the integration approach.
The reforms include relaxation in the provision of Family Pension for divorced daughters and Divyangs, the introduction of Face Recognition Technology through the mobile app for ease in submitting Life Certificate by elderly pensioners, Electronic Pension Pay Order and assistance from the Postal Department to facilitate pension process.
A week before, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched a programme called ‘Dare to Erade TB’ program and it will be based on Indian data, and the formation of a Genome Sequencing Consortium for Whole Genome Sequencing, (WSG) TB surveillance.
