Radio Jockey Umar Nisar was Honored with the Immunization Champion Award by Unicef

The annual ‘Radio4Child 2022 Awards’ was held in Mumbai. In the award ceremony, Radio Jockey Umar Nisar was honored with the Immunization Champion award by United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). In the same event, he was also awarded with the ‘01 Best Content Award’.

The awards were presented by the UNICEF celebrity supporter and multi-Grammy Award-winning music composer, and environmentalist Ricky Kej.

RJ Umar is hailed from South Kashmir. Over 80 radio professionals from all over India were facilitated by the UNICEF Celebrity Supporter at this event. Radio professional re-affirmed to focus on the issue of Routine Immunization.

The award has been conferred to Umar for his work of providing awareness and countering rumors to reach audiences during the pandemic. 

The Radio4Child felicitated radio professionals from private FM and All India Radio from across the country for their commendable work during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as for routine vaccination. These radio professionals highlighted the importance of routine vaccination among people.
