Gujarat Titans Won the IPL-2022 Title

The new team Gujarat Titans won their maiden championship of the Indian Premier League 2022 after defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final match of the tournament. The match was held at Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat.

Rajasthan Royals were restricted to 130 for nine wickets and won the match by seven wickets. Rajasthan Royals won the title of the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008.

Hardik Pandya of the Gujarat Titans picked 3 for 17 runs and then scored 34 runs.

Gujarat Titans, playing their maiden season of the Indian Premier League. They finished on top of the points table after winning 10 of their 14 matches and then defeated Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 to book a spot in the final.

In the final match, Gujarat Titan’s pacer Lockie Ferguson bowled the fastest delivery of the IPL-2022 with a speed of 157.3 kmph. He surpassed Umran Malik of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who recorded the fastest delivery of IPL 2022, who had bowled at the pace of 157kmph. Umran Malik had also won the 'fastest delivery of the match' award 14 consecutive times.

Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals became the top scorer the season with 863 runs (4 hundred and 4 fifties) from 17 matches. He is the second on the list of batters with the most runs in a single IPL season behind Virat Kohli, who hit 973 runs in 2016.
