India topped the medal tally at ISSF Junior World Cup 2022

Indian shooters concluded their campaign on top with a total of 33 medals at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2022 in Suhl, Germany. India’s tally of 33 medals - 13 golds, 15 silvers and five bronzes - was the most by any country at the 2022 edition. Italy - with four golds two silver and five bronze medals - finished second on the table.

Sift Kaur Samra and Surya Pratap Singh won the silver medal in the 50m rifle prone mixed team event on the final day. India’s Anish Bhanwala, Vijayveer Sidhu and Sameer beat Thailand’s Waster Warakorn Kongklang, Wachiravit Phuangthong and Thanawit Kruawongkaew 17-1 in the men’s 25-metre rapid fire pistol event.

Simranpreet Kaur Brar and Vijayveer Sidhu, meanwhile, won the mixed team gold in the same event after beating fellow Indians Anish Bhanwala and Tejaswani 17-9 in the final.
