Mathew Mott Appointed as new Coach for England Cricket Team

Matthew Mott has been appointed as the head coach of the England men’s white-ball team on a contract of four years. He was unanimously appointed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

He will join the squad ahead of England's three-match ODI series against the Netherlands in Amsterdam in the upcoming month.

Earlier, Mr.Mott has held the position of coach of the Australian women's team since 2015. In his seven years of tenure, he was helping the Australian team to win many major tournaments - consecutive ICC T20 World Cups, ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and four Ashes series. Also, under his coaching, the women’s team won 26 consecutive ODI matches a record in either the men's or women's game.

Before the Australian women’s team, Mr.Mott served as the head coach of New South Wales before taking up her position with Australia Women in 2015. Under his coaching, the team won the Champions League T20 tournament in 2009.

In earlier of this month, New Zealand’s Wicket-Keeper & Batsman Brendon McCullum was appointed as the test coach of England.
