The 10th edition of the India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting was held in New Delhi and discussed the strategies to improve the economic ties between the two countries.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef.
The 48 members delegation led by Oman’s Minister Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef visited India for five days to renew and further strengthen the close and dynamic economic ties between the two countries. The delegation team includes senior officials and business representatives from diverse areas spanning health, mining, tourism, telecommunication, energy, shipping, and real estate.
The bilateral trade between the two countries has grown by 82% to reach 9.94 billion dollars in the financial year 2021-2022.
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organized a meeting of the India-Oman Joint Business Council (JBC) which will be held on May 12th. FICCI organized this meeting jointly with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
