On the first leg of the Prime Minister’s official visit to three European nations, he arrived in Berlin (Germany) and he got a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora. The Prime Minister was holding talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and also interacted with the business leaders and addressed a community programme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will co-chair the sixth edition of the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC), a unique dialogue format. This is the first such Government-to-Government consultation of the new German government formed in December last year.
After completion of the IGC, Prime Minister Modi will reach Denmark to attend an India-Denmark Business Forum and will address members of the Indian diaspora.
This will be his first visit to Denmark and will attend his third summit-level interaction with the Danish Prime Minister. He will have a discussion with his Danish counterpart on the bilateral issues as well as issues of global and regional interest.
Mr.Modi will also participate in the 2nd India-Nordic Summit along with Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
After completion of the programmes in Denmark, he will visit his third country on this foreign trip – France - to meet re-elected French President Mr Emmanuel Macron. This visit will provide an opportunity to carry forward the high level of engagement between the two countries.
