CM of Odisha Released two Coffee Table Books at Naveen Niwas

Chief Minister of Odisha has released two coffee table books at Naveen Niwas. The books were ‘The Magic of Mangalajodi’ and ‘The Sikh History of East India’.

The book ‘The Magic of Mangalajodi’ was authored by Avinash Khemka and the book ‘The Sikh History of East India’ was authored by Abinash Mahapatra and published by Punjabi Global Foundation’s Odisha chapter. 

The coffee table book “The Magic of Mangalajodi” provides a bird’s eye view of Mangalajodi in Chilika lake through various images and descriptions. The book is known for scripting a remarkable story of successful nature conservation, wherein local community members have renounced their traditional bird hunting practices and vowed the protection of wildlife and habitat. Author Khemaka is an avid wildlife photographer and conservationist, with a special interest in the avian life of Chilika Lake.

The book ‘The Sikh History of East India’ was a research work on Sikh history and philosophy which is a compilation of five books authored by Mahapatra himself. The book is an extensive study on the Sikh history of east India, Deccan, Delhi, Baisakhi and Afghanistan. The author Mahapatra authored 38 books on Sikh history, theology and principles.
