Samba of Jammu and Kashmir has become the first district in the country to cover 100% households under the ABPMJAY – SEHAT scheme. The district achieved the milestone after the conclusion of the special registration drive with an aim to cover all families under the ABPMJAY SEHAT scheme in the district organized by the State Health Agency (SHA) across the district.
With this success, the Samba district has set a standard for other districts of the country to follow and emulate.
The ABPMJAY SEHAT scheme is the world’s largest health insurance scheme which provides quality healthcare treatment worth up to Rs. 5 lakhs in all government and empanelled private hospitals across India.
The scheme will be financed by Government and the people with Ayushman Bharat Golden Card get free treatment. In this district, about 3 lakh people are eligible for ABPMJAY-SEHAT golden cards.
This ambitious health insurance scheme enables all the residents of J&K including employees and pensioners as well as their families to avail of cashless quality healthcare services across public and empanelled private hospitals across India.
