Tripura Signed a MoU with Delhi-Based E-Service Company to set up A Modernised Commercial Data Centre at it Bhavan in Agartala

The state government of Tripura and NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up Commercial Data Centre - the International Standard Data Centre in the state. NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre is the joint-venture between the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and CSE e-governance services Ltd. 

The agreement was signed by the state government’s representative AK Bhattacharjee - In-charge director of the IT department and Anil Jain - CEO of NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre. 

While the state government will provide only the space for the establishment of the International data centre, Rs.150 crore will be invested by NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre.  The state government will host all its data in the proposed Data Centre and the JV company will also provide data to the state free of cost. But charges will be applicable for other state governments and private players other than the state.

The work for installing the data centre will be started in another two months. After the installation of the world-class data centre, high employment for highly skilled IT professionals will be generated.
