Longest Bridge in Gujarat by June 2024

NATIONAL

  • The longest bridge over the Narmada river in Gujarat will be opened by June 2024.
  • This longest bridge is the part of the 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor.
  • This 1.2 kilometer long bridge to be constructed by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited.
  • Along with this, a total of 20 bridges will be constructed under the project across rivers like Sabarmati, Mahi, Par, Kaveri, Purna Ambika, Tapi, Kim, Dhadhar, etc.
  • Trial run on the Gujarat section of India's first-ever Bullet Train corridor- the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor (350 kmph) will begin in 2026.
