World Para Athletics Grand Prix


● Sprinter Pranav Prashant Desai of India won the country’s first gold in the ongoing World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2022.
● He won the yellow medal in the men's 200 metre T64 category where completed the race in 24.42 seconds.
● In the game, the silver and the bronze medals were won by Denpoom Kotcharang (Thailand) and Kenneth Jenssen Heggdal (Norway) respectively.
● With this, India ranked 15th in the medals table with four medals. Colombia topped the medals table with 13 medals.
● In this event, the 29 members Indian contingent is led by Paralympian Dharambir.
