Women’s Triple Jump World Record


  • Yulimar Rojas set a new world record in women's triple jump by overtaking her old record at the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2022.
  • In this 18th edition of the championship, she jumped 15.74 metres and won the gold medal.
  • Previously, she had a record for jumping 15.67 metres at the Tokyo Games 2021.
  • Rojas jumped over 15 metres four times in the final event, landing the record on her sixth and final attempt.
  • This is her third straight gold medal win at world indoor triple jump gold. Previously she won gold medals in 2016 and in 2018.
  • In the championship, the silver medal was won by Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (Ukraine) with 14.74 meters and the bronze was won by Kimberly Williams (Jamaica) with 14.62 meters.
