The AIM-PRIME (Program for Researchers in Innovation, Market Readiness, and Entrepreneurship) Playbook has been launched by the Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog.
The playbook is synthesized based on the knowledge shared by the experts of the AIM initiative which aims to be a comprehensive resource for academic researchers, entrepreneurs and incubators involved in building science-based enterprises from lab to market.
Also, it promotes early-stage deep technology ideas that are science-based to the market via guidance and training for a period of over 12 months.
The playbook marked the culmination of the nationwide AIM-PRIME programme. It is being implemented by Venture Centre, Pune in association with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The programme was launched under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog in April 2021.
The programme included several lectures and hands-on sessions on various topics related to the lab-to-market journey. The area of focus of this programme is on deep technology entrepreneurship that will be science-based as well as knowledge-intensive. This programme benefits Technology developers, CEOs as well as Senior incubation managers of Atal Incubation Centres.
The first cohort (including 40 organizations and 64 participants) of the AIM PRIME programme consisted of science-based start-ups that work on progressing the ideas by teaming up with an incubator.
AIM is the Government of India’s flagship initiative to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.
