The ties between India and Pakistan are continuously deteriorating after New Delhi announced withdrawing the special powers of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019.

Bilawal took the oath nearly a week after he met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in London.

This is the first time when Bilawal has been given a key post in the government and assigned the key portfolio of the foreign minister of the country.  Previously, he was elected to the National Assembly for the first time in 2018.

In early this month, the Imran Khan-led government was ousted from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership. Pakistan’s PPP is the second-largest party in the current coalition government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who was appointed on April 11 of this year.
