Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Shri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Fiji. He called the hospital a 'symbol of traditional relationship' between the countries - India & Fiji.
This is the first Children’s Heart Hospital in the entire South Pacific region which will enhance the health facility of the entire South Pacific region.
This hospital will give a new life to the children, as the region is facing a major challenge - heart-related diseases - and the facility will be a way of giving new life to thousands of children. In this new hospital, the children will not only get world-class treatment, but the surgeries will be done free of cost.
After inaugurating the hospital, PM Modi congratulated and appreciated the Sai Prem Foundation in Fiji, the Government of Fiji, and Shri Sathya Sai Sanjivini Children’s Heart Hospital of India for constructing the hospital that will provide free of cost surgeries.
During the pandemic, India exported COVID-19 vaccines to other countries under the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative as it considers the entire world as one family.
