Madhya Pradesh Government Announced to Give Rs.900/Month to Farmers Rearing Indigenous Cows

At a virtual event on NITI Aayog organized a workshop on agriculture, the Madhya Pradesh government decided to give Rs.900 per month to farmers rearing Desi (indigenous) cows. If a farmer gets Rs.900/month, then a farmer will get a total of Rs 10,800 in a year for a desi cow rearing.

The state government also announced the establishment of the Madhya Pradesh Natural Agriculture Development Board with an aim to promote natural farming on both the banks of the Narmada River. Various special activities will be started to promote natural farming in 100 villages each across 52 districts of the state.

Workshops will also be organized in the state to create an atmosphere for natural farming. The activities will start in 5,200 villages in the state. In each block of the state, five full-time workers will be appointed to promote natural farming and they will be paid an honorarium.

Nature farming uses only organic matter to enhance the vitality of the soil and enrich its inherent power. It is being promoted as Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati Programme (BPKP) under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) scheme.
