UK PM Boris Johnson Meets PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi During His 2-Day Visit to India

The United Kingdom Prime Minister Mr.Boris Johnson was on a two-day visit to India. On the first day of his visit to Gujarat - the first UK PM to visit Gujarat. UK’s PM left for New Delhi to meet his counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the meeting, he said the relationship between the two countries is stronger than ever. He discussed several “difficult issues” which include the Jahangirpuri demolition drive in the National Capital.

During his two-day visit, the UK PM met Gautam Adani - the Chairman of Adani Group in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Mr.Adani was delighted to support the country in the fields like climate & sustainability agenda with a focus on renewables, green H2 & new energy and to work with UK companies to co-create defense & aerospace technologies.

The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and UK will be finalized by end of this year. The leaders of both countries finalized investments and export deals worth over £1 billion, in areas from software engineering to health. This new deal will generate almost 11,000 employment opportunities in the UK.
