  • The World Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated on 2nd April annually which marks the birth anniversary of Mr. Hans Christian Andersen.
  • The day was organized by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY).
  • IBBY is an international non-profit organization.
  • Theme fixed for the year 2022 is ‘Stories are wings that help you soar every day’.
  • Theme fixed for the year 2021 is ‘The Music of Words’.
  • The host country selected for the year 2022 to celebrate the day is ‘Canada’.
